You've Got a Friend
What is true friendship? How would you define a true friend? I thought I had this whole thing we call true friendship figured out. Turns out I didn't quite have it right. I’m learning that things change, people change, friendships change and it doesn't mean you forget the past or try to cover it up. It simply means you move on and treasure the memories. Letting go doesn't mean giving up, it means accepting and treasuring the past and being open to new future experiences.
Why do friend’s drift apart? People have so many answers, I’ll give you my answer: Time.
It’s life’s experiences, boyfriends, girlfriends, children, different interests, occupations, or, not having anything in common anymore.
How sad is that? For starters, when you leave school you and your friends may go different ways. You meet new people, or have a new interest. Again, it’s sad sometimes because you miss the good times you had with your old friends, but then you've just got to accept yourself, and move forward. Maybe you will be able to connect with an old friend later in life.
I am looking forward singing my heart out Friday night at Asia Roma, with my friends; some new and some old. All are very dear to my heart.
Karaoke, booze + positive energy are the perfect ingredients for a fabulous time!
I decided to feature pictures that tribute to famous friendships that stand the sands of time:

If ain’t broke don’t fix it…
I used to work at Starbucks senior year of high school and during college (made a lot great friends there that I am blessed to have in my life today). Being at the “Frappe Station” during a hot July day at a tourist stop Starbucks location was cruel and unusual punishment. And I used to be there a lot because of my gift of remembering everything. Customers not knowing the difference between: coffee frap, coffee frappe light, and vanilla bean frappe. If you didn’t have a good barista writing the drinks, IT’S NOT FUN!
To replace the old Frappuccinos, which were PERFECTLY fine, now we have: coffee (regular, double, triple or decaf); syrup (vanilla, white mocha, mocha, peppermint, hazelnut, and caramel); a choice of milk (nonfat, 2 percent, whole or soy); and a topping (whipped cream, mocha drizzle, and chocolate shavings). Coffee-free beverages are also available, including strawberries, vanilla bean, chai, green tea and double chocolate chip.
So when I saw this new “However-You-Want-It Frappuccino” I wondered why Starbucks? However-You-Want-It, isn't that the whole concept of Starbucks already? Why Starbucks, when barista’s are fast, why make their lives more difficult? Now customers are going to ask for Frappe’s that are half coffee, half skim, light on the whip with extra chocolate curls and caramel sauce, in under two minutes during the 4pm rush. Did they also forget that there are customers with the crazy iced espresso drinks! Yes folks, customers who insist on having hot foam in their iced cappuccino despite health department laws that forbid baristas to do so?
Starbucks, I understand you are upset at McDonald’s and Dunkin Donuts for taking your flow, I would be too. But haven’t you heard the saying, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. Best of luck, and good luck barista’s during the frappe 2010 season. At least the happy hour promo for the launch of this However-you-want-it Frappe will end next week, and you guys can actually go to a real happy hour to celebrate :)
While we are on the subject, my favorite frappe drink is the caramel frappe. I keep it simple:

Time for a Fantasy Comic Hero Team Draft
Hi guys! Happy Free Comic Book Day!! As you know I am a comic buff, been writing in and out my own comic book for the past few months now. I thought this would be fun, I always hear about fantasy football drafts. How about a Fantasy Comic Book Team draft? He he, here are my picks and why:
Nightwing the Dick Grayson version- He’s the streetwise person of the team, with training from The Dark Knight but without the attitude. Always knows the best shortcuts and can flip his way out of a situation.
Black Panther- Swag from the motherland and he’s fine, Storm got herself a good man!
Catwoman- Nuff said and Phoenix needs a BFF to chat about the boys.
The Beast-The intellect with the strength of 20 men what a combination.
What are your picks guys?
Xoxo
