Earring Obsession: Monserat De Lucca

Decided for summer 12 and beyond that I was going to step of the earring game :)   In the past I have only worn necklaces and bracelets. I barley wear earrings because either they are way too small or too clunky and not work appropriate. I also found that a lot of jewelry lines knocked each other off.

The only problem lately, was that all the jewelry I liked was too expensive! I found the perfect balance with the Italian brand: Monserat De Lucca.

Monserat De Lucca's earrings are very unique, I actually just purchased this one price $48 lol I couldn't resist:

More earrings from the site

I love how the designs take a little cultural reference combining the brass material in each piece.

Is anyone else feeling the need to step up their accessories game this summer? What brands do you recommend?

Color Me Happy

Hey guys!

Had the chance to unwind this weekend, walked around Union Square.

This past Sunday I got to see part of the Pride Parade as I strolled through Union Square park. I actually forgot about the parade lol the dress wasn't planned but the color scheme was appropriate.

My second favorite flower :)

Union Square has been a major part of my life since I was a kid. My sisters used to work at ABC Carpet & Home, I remember we would go to dinner around the area every other Friday when they got off. Freshman year college I transfered to the Union Square location Starbucks where I met a lot of my dearest friend's working there that I am friend's with today.   Senior year of high school and all through college I worked part time as a barista at Starbucks. In looking at it now was one of the best jobs: free coffee, tips, hanging out after work! Ahh memories! I plan to spend a lot of time at Union Square this summer.

Is there a special place in your area that makes you feel nostalgic? Do share!

Free Spirit

Rocker Tees: check, sheer dresses: check, maxi skirts with slits: check, Ice Grande White Mocha: Check. Summer officially starts this Wednesday, I am excited for days on the beach, the release of the new Batman & Spiderman movies, getting back into rollerblading, trapeze classes, and house parties.
This will be the first of many random antics I'm sure!

It will be a busy summer for me workwise but I made a vow to always make time to play :)  The pics above show my favorite free spirited ladies, my inspiration this summer! Let's get it!

My new anti hero: Nora Gainsborough from True Blood

How awesome was yesterday's season premiere of True Blood? Walmart sweatsuits, Eric finally saying what a bunch of us gals wanted to say:  'F--- Sookie," Eric says. "Did you not hear her tonight? She rejected us both." Nice, Eric.

I was more focused on Bill & Eric than anything else in the season premiere since last season they killed Nan (she needed to go). It's cool to see their friendship develop.

Taken by Authority officials, Bill and Eric a in the trunk until, the two figure out a way to blow up the car.

"Who wants to die first?" says the male kidnapper.
Apparently it was him, because the female kidnapper dispatches him rather violently.

"Nora," Eric says, runs up to the kidnapper and starts kissing her.
"Friend of yours?" Bill asks
"That's my sister, actually," Eric says.

We later learn that by "sister," Eric means that he and Nora had the same maker (Godric). They are a cute couple but it's still sort of creepy, especially since they have sex later as Bill keeps watch outside.

Eric says one of the best lines I heard all season when explaining his relationship to Nora to Bill "We fight like siblings, but we f--- like champions"

I am really digging Nora she is the total opposite of Sookie something the show needed I think. She is so chic, thinks on her feet, and can roll with the big boys without needed to be saved ugh I love it. I found one of my comic con costumes, thanks Nora! Just need to get fangs, a fitted leather jacket :)

I won't spoil the first episode of season 5 too much, I am excited to see how this character develops along with the rest of the season.

What did you guys think of the season premiere?

Living Off The Wall

Hey guys!

How was everyone's weekend? I had a blast seeing one of my oldest BFF's since high school, and catching up with college friend's Sunday. I am really looking forward to summer, and one of my goals is a to explore NYC and share with all of you. I'll start today :)

My photographer Islandia suggested 53rd and Madison ave, and I was surprised to see the beautiful water fall and a piece of the Berlin Wall!

Piece of The Berlin Wall

After the fall of the Berlin wall many sections were sold or given away, 5 panels are shown in the 53rd and Madison location. The panels are in an open plaza sitting area, great to have lunch right by this amazing piece of history and art!
