Puurfection.. Part Deux

Hey guys

Gasp! I just saw the first full length pics of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman! She looks AMAZING and looking very true the comic book. Out of the DC Comic Characters her and Batman are my favorites!

I saw on a few blogs the mix reviews, I think Anne will be great for many reasons:
  1. She can act!
  2. Christopher Nolan is directing her.
  3. She can act!
  4. Glad Nolan didn't pic a Megan Fox or Angelina Jolie type, it would have been the obvious choice.
Her costume is awesome, I love the utility belt, pointy ears that turn into goggles, and high heel boots. Catwoman actually kicking some tail and not just looking cute? There's a concept!

Wanted to share the with you guys! What do you think? Will Anne be a good Catwoman?

Skirting the Issue

I have been obsessed with maxi skirts lately. Sunday in NYC was so beautiful that I gave myself another excuse to wear my latest purchase: Pencey Standard's Hi Lo Skirt. I wore it to the Coterie show last week with my favorite Qi sweater from Fall 2011. It was so busy at the show, I wish I took a pic of the outfit.

I took quick snapshots of my Sunday outfit, I wanted to go casual chic. I was heading to the city to see the movie Drive (doing a post on the movie later this week).

Outfit: Pencey Standard Skirt, Haute Hippie Tee, Alexander Wang Coco Duffle, David Yurman bracelet.

Fur Sure: Kosi's Do It Yourself (DIY) Fall 2011 Project

Hello hello!

How was everyone's week? I was at the Coterie trade show with my job it was one of our best show ever! I've finally had the chance to switch my closet from summer to fall and I smiled looking at the outerwear.

I am most excited for is a mink coat I got that was my late grandmother's:

My grandmother had great style this piece is no exception. I am planning on getting it altered to look similar to these styles. I goggled a few of the best fur pieces seen during February's NY Fashion week.

As you all can see the coat is super long! I want to use the rest of the fur to make a vest like this:

I can't wait to show all of you pictures of the finished product(s). What DIY projects are all of you getting into for fall?

I heart Samantha House Jewelry!!

Last week I was able to attend an amazing launch of Samantha House's new jewelry collection! A brooklynite like myself, Samantha's describes her jewelry as fun, inspired-luxury.  I couldn't agree more!

It was a blast walking around the penthouse suite of the Avenue Hotel with a glass of champagne in my hand, drooling over the new collection.

A few of my favorite pieces:

At the end of the night I was gifted a special necklace from the collection! I wore it the next day! I love!

Samantha House is sold in Barney's Henry Bendel, Satine Boutique, and online: http://shopsamanthahousejewelry.com/index.aspx

Indian Summer

Hello hello!!

How is the week so far? My week has been amazing: prepping for the Coterie trade show this weekend, market appointments, etc.

I haven't done an outfit post for a while now, the summerlike weather in NYC inspired me today :)

Qi Henley, Helmut Lang Skirt, Michael Kors Sandals, Foley & Corinna bag

I have been getting into wearing bright colors for Fall & beyond. It's always good to change it up, that's the beauty of putting together outfits.

What do you guys do to change it up?

Comic Relief: NY Comic Con 2011

I am super psyched! New York Comic Con  is 1 month away! October 13-16th at the Jacob Javits center. I am getting my press pass in the next few weeks.  The official Comic Con Website has a great feature called "My Show Planner" where you are able to search for the following:

Exhibitors
Artist Alley
Product Categories
Show Exclusives

Then you are able to add them to your show planner :) Ha ha! I love it! I am working the Coterie Fashion trade show at the Javits Center this weekend and they are no where near as sophisticated than this!

Starting to brainstorm an outfit, did you guys get your tickets yet? Will I see you there?

Hey Guys!

One line that I am obsessed with this Fashion Week is Joy Cioci. Joy has been a friend of mine for years since we went to school in FIT.  This is her second time showing at Fashion Week Lincoln Center and the collection keeps getting better and better!

My favorites were the four below all different, feminine and modern. I wanted to place my order right then and there!

IFB Conference

Hey guys!

Fashion week is upon us! Such a busy/tiring/amazing week! I have been busy with a few editor appointments and attending a few events. First event was the IFB (Independent Fashion Bloggers Conference)

I was fortunate enough (in the midst of my crazy schedule) to be attend the keynote with Joe Zee.

He was so gracious, the way he embraces bloggers so refreshing. Elle has been the leading pioneers using the social media platform.  He said a quote that I wanted to share:

"Bloggers have made editors not be so lazy anymore".

I smiled when he said that and thought "Yes! We have a Voice". It was great to take notes and pass them on to my intern.

More Snaps from the conference Magnum ice cream served small indulgences, including delicious ice cream bars, signature manicures and a DIY nail bar. KMS California styled hair and contests courtesy of Aldo!

I am definitely attending the IFB conference in February and going the full day. The energy in the room was so positive and it was great tapping into people's creativity both professionally and personally.
